DIY Wave Bedhead
If you’re renting, adding colour to your space might require a little extra creativity, or landlord’s approval. A DIY bedhead is one solution, while a coloured band just beneath the ceiling gives the illusion of higher ceilings and is easy to restore if you move on. With lightweight plastic plates, paint markers and removable hanging tape, you can trade in the commitment of a full blown paint job for your very own punchy ‘platement’ wall. The trick is to treat them like art, not crockery: use a consistent palette (here, sun-washed yellows and Mediterranean blues), sketch varied motifs for rhythm, and hang in an organic formation rather than a rigid grid. They will also mix well with other artworks in a gallery wall.
