Petaluma Hanlin Hill Riesling
This 2021 Clare Valley Riesling from Petaluma is both a youthful and young drinking wine but also has potential to be laid down for 5-10 years for exeptional drinking. The wine has a pale straw colour with a subtle green hue, citrus peel and sweet white fruits on the nose with lemon zest , jasmine and cherry blossom notes on the palate. the Acidity is fine and the wine is very well balanced.
The 2021 vintage saw unusual conditions however these led to a very even and long ripening period for the grapes. the grapes were handpicked and chilled overnight before a light whole bunch press occured. the grapes underwent cool fermentation in stainless steel and bottled in spring of 2021.
