M+Y Tungsten Carbide Textured Black Center with Yellow Gold Plate Rim Ring in Size W. Approxiamte Dimensions - 8mm wide. Tungsten, derived from a Swedish phrase meaning heavy stone, in honour of its weight and strength. On its own tungsten is brittle but when chemically bonded with other elements it becomes Tungsten Carbide which is then a metal alloy with superior strength, hardness and durability. It rates 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness (with 10 being the hardest), it is 3 times harder than titanium and cobalt chrome. All designs are comfort fit with no sharp edges. They will not rust or tarnish, maintaining the polished finish for many years to come.
