Study Nook
Use a pine panel for the desktop and a flatpack five-tier bookcase unit to create the nook, painting all pieces before assembly. One fixed shelf is replaced with a hidden batten to support the desktop in the bookcase.

• Water-based enamel paint in two colours (we used Dulux Red Jacks and Taubmans Harbour Sky)
